The Gaspé Airport was renamed Michel Pouliot Airport in October 2008 in honor of its founder Michel Pouliot, of Gaspé businessman who created in 1951 the first airline in the region. Michel Pouliot is a man who marked the history of aviation in the Gaspésie and elsewhere.
